When you buy a Garmin GPS unit from K2 Navigation you can choose
to have classic trail bike routes downloaded on to it free of
charge. We have put together routes from around England &
Wales that are legal trails using RUPPs and BOATS and some UCR's
that are still good fun. Tarmac road sections are kept to a minimum.
All you then have to do is let your new GPS guide you to some
of the best lanes in the country.
Please bear in mind the capabilities of the GPS machine that
you buy. Some are capable of saving 20 or 50 routes in the internal
memory some of the more basic models can only store waypoints.
Check the specification on each product under 'Navigation Features'.
Each of the routes are plotted using Memory-Map digital maps
- these can be simply emailed to you if you are running compatible
software. If you are interested in any of these routes just email
me with a request and I will send them to you free of charge.
In addition if you have some good dirt bike routes that you wish
to share with others - email them to me and I'll include them
on the site.
Choose from the following:

The Chilterns
The Cotswolds

Although the legality and vehicular rights of these routes have
been thoroughly researched, K2 Navigation does not accept any
responsibility for errors and resultant prosecutions due to reclassification
of rights of way or disputes with landowners. Please ensure the
legality of any green lane before you ride it and demonstrate
respect and courtesy for other lane users.

to ride in! the area is south of Minehead and around Dulverton.
Exmoor Leg 2
27 miles, 46 waypoints
Follows on from Exmoor Leg 1 north and east of Dulverton
Isle of Man South & West
32 miles, 47 waypoints
This takes you from Douglas towards Port Erin finishing with the
famous slippy slate waterfall descent down to Glenmaye - enough
to challenge even Dougie Lampkin Make sure you stop and turn round
between WP 1 and 2 to take in the fantastic view over Port St
Mary and Port St Erin looking towards the Calf of Man.
Isle of Man West
26 miles, 47 waypoints
From Glenmaye towards St Johns and finishing near Kirk Michael.
This one is excellent for spectating on the TT course. You can
watch from Ballacraine, Greeba, Laurel Bank, Cronk-y-Voddy and
Kirk Michael all within the time of one race!
Isle of Man Mountain
35 miles, 41 waypoints
From Kirk Michael up into the hills back down to Sulby and passing
near Snaefell at Mountain Box. Then it finishes at Ramsey with
a challenging rocky climb through the Ballure Plantation. The
views are glorious and the boggy bits are not too bad. It includes
a lovely section of lane through the Ballacuberagh Plantation.
I've directed you downhill on this one but it would be worth turning
round at the bottom( WP 88)and trying it uphill too. Look out
for the 30cm wide bridge over a particularly boggy bit near Mountain
Box. A bit of a test for your balance!
Isle of Man Mountain East
24 miles, 50 waypoints
From Ramsey past Laxey finishing at Windy Corner. This one has
plenty of disused mines which you go past including one where
13 men were killed - look out for the plaque commemorating them
at WP28. The atmosphere is quite spooky especially if the mist
comes down.
Isle of Man Mountain South
17 miles, 28 waypoints
Starting at Baldrine, past Creg Ny Baa and on to my favourite
lane on the island. The climb up along the Millennium Way to near
Brandywell. (WP 53 to 54) This is a mixture of ruts and rocks
and bog up a steady climb with fantastic views all around.
Wantage and South
25 miles, 43 Waypoints
A circular route south of Wantage crossing the Ridgeway a couple
of times. Beautiful rolling countryside. Enjoy this area while
we still can.
Chilterns Leg 1
23 miles, 21 waypoints
Starting at The Englands Rose in Postcombe this one travels south
using part of the Ridgeway and skirting Watlington and Nettlebed.
The first lane you tackle is the famous Crowell Hill. Chalky and
steep!
Chilterns Leg 2
21 miles, 35 waypoints
Follows on from Chilterns Leg 1 to return you Englands Rose via
Christmas Common.
